The Dwarf Death’s Head Hawk-Moth (Acherontia lachesis) is one of the most striking and symbol-heavy moths in the world - smaller than its famous cousin but no less intense.

Despite the dramatic name, it’s the smallest species in the Death’s Head Hawk-Moth genus, hence “dwarf.” Still chunky, still heavy-bodied - just more compact.
